Kushigin串吟

I was looking for yakitori. I'm not sure how I ended up here — something about the crowd spilling out onto the street, the smoke, the noise. Walked in anyway.

This was the night I fell in love with sake as a beverage. Giant cold bottles they pour into small bowl-shaped cups while you eat chicken skewers at the counter. Curious locals asking what you're doing in Tokyo, in this particular spot. Probably not a top-rated anything. Exactly right for a two-day trip.

Cold sake poured from a giant bottle into a small bowl. Chicken skewers, smoke, and curious locals. That's the one.

The move Cold sake. Whatever's on the skewers. Stay longer than you planned.
