Show up at noon. Leave at sunset.

Simurg Sea is the beach club arm of Simurg Inn, a small Turkish hospitality group on the Aegean coast. Same area as Filinta. Different proposition: this is where you go to settle in, not to eat a single meal.

Spend the day reading a book by the Aegean. Eat grilled sardines. Have a boozy lunch with raki or white wine. Swim. Have a nap. Etc.

The setup is straightforward — thatched umbrellas, wooden loungers, a beach in front, a restaurant behind. A book, a swim, a long lunch with a small carafe of wine, a nap, another swim. The Aegean does the rest.

Tip within a tip: the Simurg Inn hotels themselves. If you're spending more than a day in the area, look at where you'd actually want to stay.

The move A book, a lounger, sardines, raki. Don't make plans for the evening.
