Right on the water on the Senegal coast. Fresh fish, cold wine, a view of the Atlantic. Not sure how I found it. Glad I did.

Le Balafon

I think we stopped here on the way out to the airport, which is rarely when you're looking to have a great meal. But it was a great meal. Popenguine is a small town on the Petite Côte south of Dakar — white buildings, bougainvillea, the Atlantic right there. Le Balafon sits up on the cliff with a terrace that looks straight out to sea.

Ate some fish, drank some wine, had a good vibe, then kept it moving. Exactly what it needed to be.
