Café Chou
A good café next to the lake and Parc La Grange. The chou is the thing.
The name comes from the thing they make here — a chou, a small dough ball that's essentially the missing part of a doughnut. Light, slightly crisp outside, properly soft inside. They do them fresh and they're the reason to come.
Good café otherwise — solid coffee, nice room, the kind of place you want nearby when you're heading to Parc La Grange or coming back from the lake. It's right on Rue des Eaux-Vives, the main street of the neighbourhood.
