All Italian guys working there, a proper wood-fired oven, and they just crank out good pies at a price that won't make you wince. A margherita is somewhere under CHF 15. In Geneva that's remarkable. This isn't going to blow your mind — it's not that kind of place. But if you want a reliably good pizza, La Pignata will do it every time.

My ritual is to get there, order, and have a small beer while I wait for the pizza to cook. The timing works out perfectly — it's almost exactly the right amount of time to drink that little beer.
