Where to swim in and around Geneva/Geneva
The wooded riverbanks at La Jonction where Geneva’s Rhône and Arve meet

La Jonction

From Where to swim in and around Geneva

Where the Rhône meets the Arve. A bit grungy, completely worth it.

The standalone HoodTip

Walk along the river path from Plainpalais toward the point where the Rhône and Arve collide. As you go you’ll pass a handful of entry points — stone steps, low walls, spots where people have been lowering themselves in for decades. Each is slightly different. At the tip of the peninsula there’s a small bar, plenty of energy, and a striking view of the two differently coloured rivers meeting.
