Why I like it

Geneva’s grandest museum. There are rotating exhibitions, a substantial permanent collection, a few mummies, a Picasso, a fiddler from Chagall, a wonderful painting of a cow. The weaponry rooms are also genuinely interesting, filled with old guns and suits of armor. The sword display feels properly medieval—the kind of thing you don’t expect to find yourself standing in front of, for free, on a Tuesday.

The café downstairs is the kind of place you might visit specifically if you knew it was there. It’s a great spot for a drink, a snack, and a proper sit-down.
