It's Italy, but it's Switzerland. There's palm trees overlooking alpine lakes. For a second you feel like you're in Rio. Get a glass of 'while Merlot' stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola, and soak up the strange and beautiful vibes of Lugano. I also did my daughter's 1st birthday party in the hotel courtyard and it was perfect.
